Two individuals from Kerala, Yusuf and Shamla, have died and another woman, Ramla, remains missing following flash floods in Oman's Al Batinah Governorate. Senior Congress leader V D Satheesan has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and coordinate with Omani authorities for intensified search and rescue efforts and to provide assistance to affected families.

"There are unprecedented floods in kerala causing huge damage. We have decided that as the situation becomes normal, passports damaged on account (of) floods shall be replaced free of charge. Please contact the concerned Passport Kendras," Sushma Swaraj tweeted. Kerala has been reeling under massive floods in which over 35 people have lost their lives.
