Administration sends three truckloads of relief material to flood-hit Kerala

BAREILLY: On Thursday, three trucks packed with relief materials were sent to Lucknow for Kerala flood victims by the local administration. Additional district magistrate (city) OP Verma said that they sent packaged food including biscuit, namkeen, peanuts, jaggery and other items like clothes, bedsheets, raincoats and mosquito repellents which will help the flood victims.

Besides, the chief development officer, Satyendra Kumar said that the ministerial staff donated their one day salary for the Kerala chief minister’s relief fund.
The ADM said that the district magistrate had appealed all government officials as well as citizens to come forward to help the Kerala flood victims.
“Following the DM's appeal, the employees have voluntary donated their one day salary,” he said. The ADM himself donated Rs 25,000 for flood victims.
Meanwhile, the secretary and relief commissioner in UP government, Sanjay Kumar, has directed the district magistrates across the state to encourage government employees to donate money for Kerala flood victims. Kumar said that anyone can send money direct to CM relief fund of Kerala through RTGS in a/c number 1378820696 of Central Bank of India for which IFS code is CBIN 0281571.
CDO said that since the flood had destroyed roads, bridges, houses badly in the southernmost state of the country. The people there need all kind of help, be it water, food or medicine to get their homes repaired.
“Today, we are collecting money from all employees working at Vikas Bhawan and we will send a demand draft in the name of CM’s relief fund of Kerala tomorrow,” CDO Kumar added.
