Actress Sai Tamhankar who played the female protagonist in the latest released Marathi language web series 'Pet Purran' says the whole concept of pet parenting is quite an urban affair, especially for young couples whereas previous generations do not understand the decision of choosing a pet over a child for parenting.

Recently, the music and trailer of Marathi film Half Ticket was launched and its songs and visuals have caught the imagination of viewers. The teaser of the film shows Mumbai in a very different way, from the perspective of a working child.

Pet Puraan talks about the mindset of new-age working couples who don't wish to have children, priorities, and their respective families, who have a more traditional approach towards what completes a family. The OTT series stars Sai Tamhankar as Anjali and Lalit Prabhakar as Atul. Pet Puraan is created and written by director Dnyanesh Zoting. Pet Puraan will stream in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali languages.

"What excites me most about this festival is the pool of remarkable directors that are actively participant in it - Chandrakant Kulkarni, Jayprad Desai, Dnyanesh Zoting and now Sunil Sukthankar, who is the festival director - with whom it will truly be an artistic exchange of the crafts of filmmaking," the 60-year-old director said.
