Cleaner, safer, round-the-clock water for Mumbaikars: Rs 3,145 crore Panjrapur plant to cut energy use, boost supply

Mumbai's water security is set to significantly improve with new, advanced treatment plants at Bhandup and Panjrapur becoming operational by 2029-30. Welspun Enterprises secured a Rs 3,145 crore contract for the Panjrapur facility, which, along with Bhandup, will meet 65% of the city's water needs. These state-of-the-art plants promise safer, better-tasting water and a step closer to 24x7 supply.
