An interfaith couple in Hyderabad remarried at a police station after the bride's mother initially opposed their union. The couple, who had previously married under Christian rites, agreed to a Hindu ceremony to appease the mother. The groom tied a mangalsutra in the presence of relatives, and the mother has since reconciled.

Andhra University won the volleyball title in the annual all-India inter-university non-teaching employees sports meet organised by the Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur recently. Vice-Chancellor PVGD Reddy congratulated the team members when they met him at his chamber on Monday.
