Harit Mehta

Harit Mehta began his career as a stringer for The Times of India in Gandhinagar before rising to Resident Editor of TOI Ahmedabad. With over two decades in journalism, he has also worked with The Indian Express, The Economic Times, and Business Standard, where he launched its Gujarati edition. At TOI, he has reported on Gujarat’s defining moments, including the 2001 earthquake and 2002 riots, while leading editorial planning across editions. Mehta is also a film writer, having co-written the Bollywood crime drama Raees starring Shahrukh Khan. A postgraduate in English Literature from Gujarat University, he is passionate about theatre, music, and cinema.
