Google has expanded its Search Live feature, making it available in more than 200 countries and territories where AI Mode is supported. The feature allows users to have real-time conversations with Search using voice and camera. “Today, we’re expanding Search Live globally to all languages and locations where AI Mode is available. Now, people in more than 200 countries and territories can have interactive conversations with Search in AI Mode, using both voice and camera,” Google said in a press release.
The expansion, Google says, is powered by Google’s new Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model, which supports multiple languages and aims to make interactions more natural and intuitive.
What is Google Search Live feature
Announced in June 2025, Search Live is a voice-activated feature that allows users to have conversational, back-and-forth interactions with Google Search through the company's mobile app. Till date, it was available for Android and iOS users mainly in the United States who have opted into the AI Mode experiment in Labs.
Google has also added camera-based interactions, allowing users to show the system real-time visuals while maintaining voice conversations.
“If you want to ask about something in front of you, like how to install a new shelving unit, you can enable your camera to add visual context. This way, Search can see what your camera sees and offer helpful suggestions, plus links to more information on the web,” Google says.
