Vismaya Mohanlal gears up for ‘Thudakkam’ debut

Vismaya Mohanlal is set to make her acting debut with the upcoming Malayalam film 'Thudakkam'. The project is written and directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, known for his work in 2018: Everyone Is A Hero, and 'Ohm Shanthi Oshaana'.Before entering films, Vismaya had already made a mark as a writer. She published her book Grains of Stardust. Meanwhile, her brother Pranav Mohanlal has already established himself as a versatile actor with his performances in 'Hridayam', and the recently released horror thriller 'Dies Irae'.

Earlier in 2025, at the 'Thudakkam' pooja ceremony, Mohanlal opened up about his emotions and the unexpected nature of his children entering films.He said: “Everything that has happened in my life, I consider it a vismayam (wonder). I never once thought that my children would enter cinema. I never had a dream to act in films either. It just happened, as if destined by time.”He added: “Years ago, when I came into cinema, there were no such ceremonies. ‘Drishyam 2’ set for theatrical release

On the work front, Mohanlal recently made an announcement regarding 'Drishyam 2'. The film, which earlier skipped a theatrical release due to the pandemic, is now set to hit the big screen on April 10. Meanwhile, 'Drishyam 3' will release on May 21.
