Los Angeles Lakers star player Anthony Davis has created another milestone in his legacy-enriched basketball career as he made NBA history by surpassing Hall of Famer Elvin Hayes to claim sole possession of 25th place on the all-time blocks list. Fans were concerned about Davis' injury status as he was listed in the injury report as questionable due to a left ankle strain. Thankfully, he returned to the court to create a new milestone in his career in the league.

Anthony Davis secured 25th place on the all-time block list

Anthony Davis shines his basketball resume with another accolade to his name. At Sunday’s game at Toyota Centre, the Lakers forward created history by claiming his spot in the 25th position on the all-time block list.
"With his block at the 5:07 mark of the first quarter tonight at Houston, Anthony Davis passed Elvin Hayes (1,771) into 25th place all-time in NBA history, per Lakers,” via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation.Davis surpassed Hall of Famer Elvin Hayes, who recorded 1,771 career blocks. Davis now stands at 1,772 blocks, with Jermaine O'Neal next on the list at 24th with 1,820.Entering the game, Davis was averaging 25.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.1 blocks per game.
He was shooting 52.2% from the field and 31.4% from three-point range over 32 appearances this season.
Following Davis’ record, Lost Angeles Lakers' official social media handles immediately celebrated the good news of their star player. "AD’s Block Party, All Invited. In the Lakers’ game against the Huston Rockets, Davis scored 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists. However, the Lakers’ efforts were not enough to defeat the home team who claimed the 119-115 victory over the visiting Lakers.

Anthony Davis reacted to LeBron James’ NBA record of the most career 30-point games in history

Davis has recently shared his thoughts on his teammate and close friend LeBron James breaking Michael Jordan's major record. Davis who has been a long-time Jordan fan has playfully roasted James in a hilarious jibe at the Lakers legend. "It bothers me, but took him 7 more seasons," Davis joked. For context, while Jordan clinched the record in just 15 seasons, James took 22 seasons to surpass the NBA Hall of Famer. Also, he took fewer games than James. Regardless, it was a huge milestone for the 40-year-old, and Davis’ playful reaction reveals the close bond between the two after the inherent friendly banter of his teammate.
