Fernando Alonso shared a series of pictures of the striking machine on Instagram and wrote: “Perfect Sunday ride. Valiant, you’ve got it all. @astonmartin @astonmartinmonaco.” While most of the images highlighted the car’s gorgeous details, one picture subtly captured Alonso’s reflection alongside Melissa Jimenez.Fans were quick to react. “You just pulled it off…,” wrote one follower. Another commented, “Enjoy your eternal youth!” while one fan added, “The day you stop racing, I will stop watching.” Several others pointed out that this appeared to be Alonso’s first Instagram photo featuring his girlfriend.
Jimenez is a well-known F1 reporter who has interviewed several drivers across the grid. Her Instagram profile reflects her strong presence in the paddock, with drivers like Lando Norris and George Russell among her 648,000 followers.
Alonso unveiled his custom-made Aston Martin Valiant earlier this year in Monaco. Aston Martin shared images of the car on Instagram with the caption: “Valiant's visionary, @fernandoalo_oficial, unleashes his bespoke rear-winged titan at @astonmartinmonaco and @thecollectionparis.”The limited-edition car has just 38 units in total and boasts a carbon-fibre body, a 745 PS 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine, and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Despite its aggressive looks, it is remarkably lightweight, drawing inspiration from 1970s Le Mans racers.

Fernando Alonso hopeful for a better season in 2026

Fernando Alonso endured a frustrating 2025 campaign, failing to secure a podium and struggling to score consistent points with Aston Martin. However, the 44-year-old remains optimistic about the future, with new Team Principal and Technical Director Adrian Newey already working on the 2026 car ahead of the regulation changes.
At the end of the season, Alonso shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, writing: “Thank you, 2025, for another season doing what I love most - racing and fighting alongside this team @astonmartinf1. It’s been a year full of challenges on every front, and now it’s time for a few weeks of well-earned rest and preparation to come back at 100% next season. Huge congratulations to @lando on a well-deserved title. Bravo.”Alonso finished the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship in 10th place with 56 points. Also read: From Carlos Sainz’s combs to Fernando Alonso’s walking stick: What F1 drivers got from Secret Santa this Christmas
