The selected candidates include assistant section officers, junior secretariat assistants, labour officers, five planning assistants, block welfare officers, block supply officers and circle inspectors and kanugos (a revenue official).
The examination was advertised in 2023, but the tests were conducted last year.
Conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), the examination’s results were declared on December 9 this year. However, results were declared after a lot of trials and tribulations. The state govt had initiated a probe into the allegations of question paper leak.
Taking cognizance of the claims, Jharkhand high court (HC) had stayed the publication of the results. However, the HC changed its order earlier this month after it was satisfied with the state govt’s probe, which concluded that there was no leak.
On Monday, the city traffic police banned the entry of heavy goods carrying vehicles in the city from 6 am to 10 pm.
“While heavy vehicles will move through the Ring Road to their destinations, movement of private vehicles will remain from SSP Residence to Red Cross building in Morabadi via State Guest House,” the traffic police said in a statement on Monday.
This restricted traffic movement will be over and above the one already in place for the movement of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit between Birsa Munda airport to Lok Bhavan (8 am to 4 pm).
Football ground, Army ground and Tribal Research Institute have been designated as parking sports. Vehicles coming from Kanke via Chandini Chowk would park their vehicles at Football ground, while those coming from Booty More via Karamtoli Chowk at Army ground and from Bodeya at TRI ground.
The district administration would also barricade the entry and exit routes of the venue to regulate traffic. Adequate number of police force would be deployed for law and order, and the area would be under closed circuit television camera surveillance.
