The duo fell in the eighth over to leg-spinner Georgia Wareham but Laura Wolvaardt (32*, 24b; 2x4; 1x6) and captain Jemimah Rodrigues (41, 23b; 4x4; 1x6) played sensibly to take Capitals closer to victory. In her first over, she removed the in-form Anushka Sharma and captain Ashleigh Gardner off successive deliveries to leave the Giants in dire straits.Despite the early setbacks, opener Beth Mooney steadied the Giants innings with a well-compiled halfcentury and took them to a competitive total of 168/7 in their 20 overs.
