Jarrell Miller found himself trending again online. But this time it was for an unexpected reason after his recent fight at Madison Square Garden. The heavyweight boxer became the center of attention when his hairpiece was knocked off during his bout against Kingsley Ibeh. Fans were shocked as the toupee flew off in the middle of the action.The incident happened in the second round of their 12-round contest. The hairpiece came loose after a punch from Ibeh and began flapping around. Miller later removed it himself while sitting in the corner. He then threw it into the crowd before continuing the fight. Days later, Miller finally revealed how much he paid for the toupee, and the price surprised many.

Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Jarrell Miller shared details about the now-famous moment. He revealed that he paid around $700, which is roughly £511, for the toupee. He explained that it was a last-minute purchase. According to Miller, he did not even realize at first that the hairpiece had come off.Miller said he suddenly felt a strange draft, like cold air hitting his head. While he was sitting down and listening to his coaches, one of them began stuttering, which immediately felt odd.
Miller noticed his coach’s eyes behaving strangely, which raised suspicion. That was when he started to realize something was wrong.He then decided to look up at the big screen inside Madison Square Garden. Miller said he knew the replay would show everything. Once he saw the footage, he realized he had been caught on camera. Instead of panicking, he decided to play along. He stood up, removed the toupee completely, and tossed it into the crowd. Miller said that at that moment, he chose to move on and focus on the fight.After the bout, Miller claimed the situation happened because of a mistake at his mother’s house. He said he accidentally used hair removal products, which caused his real hair to come off. That forced him to wear the hairpiece for the fight.Miller is no stranger to controversy in combat sports. The 37-year-old has failed five drug tests during his career in boxing and kickboxing. Three of those failures came in 2019 before a planned fight with Anthony Joshua. He tested positive for banned substances including GW1516, EPO, and HGH. In 2020, he again tested positive for GW1516.
