West Indies let them down in the field! They dropped a lot of catches and had that been taken, things could have been different. Amongst the bowlers, Joseph was good at the end and Forde was brilliant at the start. Motie was yet again economical but the others leaked runs.

That's a fine, fine innings from Mendis, he rode his luck but he has provided the much-needed impetus his side needed. Lanka courtesy him, have got to a very good score. Before that, it was tough going for them, they did not lose wickets but the going was slow. Then there was a long rain break and the game was reduced to a 23-per over side game. Lanka though managed to score over 70 runs in the last five.
