This was followed by stints at R J''s Studio, where his greatest moment was recording the background music for a Hollywood film Dance of the Winds, composed by Shubha Mudgal and Studio Pin Drop, where he fondly remembers re-editing and re-mastering tour recordings of Amjad Ali Khan in the presence of his sons Amaan and Ayaa.
Massey has now taken over the charge of Studio Music Matters, Uttaranchal''s first ever state-of-the-art digital recording studio, situated at, 29 Industrial Area, specialising in Bhajan albums, folk albums, POP albums and remixes. Music aspirants now need not flock to Delhi and other big cities. They can now make
their own professional demo-songs'' album, ads, jingles, TV commercials and even do voiceovers at this studio.
Says Mayur Nichani of Studio Music Matters, "Within a short span of few months, Rajiv has already recorded for many schools, bhajans, gospel songs, Garhwali music, Jaunsari music, private albums. Uttaranchal holds great promise for the music industry and people have already started responding positively."
Massey informs that apart from recording, the studio also provides consultancy. "Music directors Sameer and Sawan Nichani, who already have a studio in Delhi by the same name, have now stepped in to make music for Uttaranchalis apart from providing consultancy. The potential over here is very good. It only needs to be tapped. There are plenty of good singers here who would like to make it big. This studio offers them this chance."
