Sennheiser launches HD400 headphones series starting at Rs 5,000
The need for good quality headphones arises every now and then, and the Indian market is flooded with new ones every month. The latest to launch new headphones in India is Sennheiser. Sennheiser, the German audio company has launched its ‘next generation’ HD400 series over ear headphones. The series includes three headphones – the HD 451, HD 461, and HD 471.
The HD 461 and the HD 471 comes in two variants each, the HD 461i and HD 461G, HD 471i and HD 471G. The HD 461i, HD 461G are priced at Rs 5,990, while the HD 471i, HD 471G are priced at Rs 7,990. The HD 451 costs Rs 5,000.
All the headphones are compatible with Android and iOS devices. It is worth mentioning that while the (i) version is for the iOS models, the (G) version is for Android only.
The company claims these headphones feature a durable design and are also light weight with good ambient noise cancellation technology. Sennheiser used native neodymium magnets inside the headphones and are said to deliver enhanced stereo sound. Sennheiser also adds that while the HD 451 and HD 461 models throw powerful base, the HD 471 is more balanced in terms of bass and treble.
The HD 461 and HD 471 models include detachable cables with inline remotes and microphones, letting users take calls and control music playback as well.
The HD 471 headphones come with an additional 3.0m cable, gold-plated plug and a 6.3 mm stereo adaptor for home HiFi connectivity. A protective pouch for safety is also included. The HD 461, as per the firm is for those who are looking for good looking headphones. It features a detachable, single sided cable equipped with an in-line remote. The HD 451 is includes “state-of-the-art transducers” for improved sound reproduction. All the three headphones can be purchased from the company’s India e-store.
Meanwhile, Panasonic too launched its DJ1200 over-the-ear headphones priced at Rs 12,999. The headphones come with a swing arm system for free-style monitoring. The headphones are equipped with 41mm driver units with neodymium magnets and have 1,500 mW input capacity.
