Spiritual signs that this is not your first life on Earth

Ever wondered if a particular situation, or person has felt eerily similar? In Hinduism, particularly, it is believed that a human being goes through many life cycles, before eventually finding salvation or moksha. Most of us, however, do not remember anything from a past life, since our soul has crossed over to the other side, and taken on a new body. However, there might be subtle signs once in a while, that this is not your first life on earth. Here they are...

Remember the sudden urge of emotions you feel once in a while - happy, sad or just low? While these are largely caused by hormones and other happenings in life, do you know that it is also a sign that you have had a past life? Yes, it is true. Unexplainable feelings that have no logical reason might be a sign of a past life, with your unconscious mind trying to replay some of the memories.

While some people have claimed to have extremely lucid visions of their past life, most of us don't remember a thing. However, once in a while, we will have a vision out of nowhere - it could be a hazy face, a familiar house or even a war like setting - these visions, however, have no logical base, and come out of the blue. Similarly, some recurring dreams (not nightmares) might be a part of you, signaling that this is not your first life on earth.

Has it ever happened that you have visited a place for the first time, yet you have felt that you have been here, maybe even lived there? (though you never have) Not only that, you know partial details of that place such as where the roads go to, or where a certain lake flows by. However, these details are usually hazy, and mismatched, but they are enough proof that you have walked this earth before as well.

Are you a skilled pianist, yet no one in the family plays the piano? Or that you have suddenly taken to miming (which in turn is a dying art), yet no one in the family even knows that term? While talent is sometimes even inborn, there is also a chance that in a previous life, you were any of the above, hence this is your way of reconnecting with your roots, though not consciously.

Met someone, and felt that you have known them forever? On the other hand, the opposite is also true - sometimes we meet someone, and feel some sort of negative energy emanating from them. This is a sign that you have known this person from a past life, either in a good or not so good way. However, despite the initial feeling, we sometimes tend to bond with a person in a way that is completely opposite of that.
