Home is the peaceful abode for anyone who comes back from a tiring day or a tight-scheduled work trip. Many celebrities also built their homes in such a way that it is no less than a ‘summer dream’ and a relaxing retreat.
Among the many such luxury residences that have got public attention is Kim Kardashian’s California home, which has a calm, artistic, and highly minimal aesthetic.
The mansion, once shared with Kanye West, was designed in collaboration with Belgian designer and antiquarian Axel Vervoordt, who is known for creating spaces focused on simplicity, texture, and natural light.

One of the most centric elements of the Kardashian’s home is the all-white corridor with curved, dome-like arches. The design is not just a hallway but more like an art installation. Natural sunlight entering through the sides creates soft shadows and a dynamic, ethereal effect that constantly changes throughout the day.

Kim’s most of the house is painted in all white and ivory shades. The home strongly represents the idea that minimal interiors do not have to feel empty or cold. The home is so based on the whites that even the furniture is in all white shades, be it the sculpted sofas or Shetty’s. The rooms focus on quality materials rather than excessive decoration.

Although much of the mansion follows a white and beige palette, the interiors never appear flat because of the layered textures used throughout the house.
On the outer areas of the house, the walls are lined with a rugged stone texture with side plants breaking the monotony. Apart from that, matte finishes, distressed wood flooring, soft fabrics, and natural materials add to the visual depth.

Unlike the neutral tones seen across most of the mansion, the children’s play area includes softer colours and playful energy in the home. Lavender and pistachio walls, warm wooden flooring, and open spaces for toys create an environment that feels fun and kid-friendly.

Kim Kardashian’s walk-in closet is designed almost like a fashion gallery. Instead of overcrowded shelves, the space uses neatly arranged clothing racks, mirrors, and accessories that are treated almost like curated art pieces.
The second section of Kim’s closet also follows the home’s theme, with a massive ivory coloured velvety couch and hardwood floors.
