A heartwarming gesture of a 91-yr-old mom for her son is winning hearts on social media. The son narrated the incident of what his mother did for him while she was confined to bed.
Arunn Bhagavathula's mother made a hand-knitted sweater and he wrote in detail how she did it while being bed ridden, pausing and then going back to knitting. He wrote, "My 91-year-old mom knitted this sweater for me! She’s confined to bed now, but that hasn’t stopped her. She knits lying down, pauses whenever her hands start hurting, rests a bit, then goes back to it. Watching that alone is humbling. Before starting, she messaged me saying she wanted to knit a white sweater for me and would go ahead even if I said no. Obviously, I didn’t say no. How could I?"
His mother was quite adamant to make and made sure she wouldn't take no for an answer. Arun further wrote, "She finished the top portion first and asked me to check the neck. I told her to make it a little longer. That meant undoing the whole thing and re-knitting it. She did it without a word. Later, she finished the front and back and asked me to check the fit and length. I tried it on… and discovered there was a six-inch gap between the front and the back. She was genuinely shocked."
What she did next shows her determination and wit both. The son wrote, " “I asked you your chest size,” she said. “You told me forty-two. I made it exactly that size!” I replied calmly, “You asked for my chest size… not my waist size.” She had to undo the entire sweater again. This time, grudgingly. Very grudgingly. When she finally finished it, I realised it was just a bit short. And this time, I didn’t have the heart to tell her. The sweater may be short. Her love never is."
A mother's love is unconditional and Arun sweetly narrated this entire incident of how his mother fought all odds and completed a sweater for him.
