Haridwar, March 27: Patanjali Yogpeeth commemorated the 32nd Sanyas Diwas of its founder, Swami Ramdev, on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami at the grand Yog Bhavan auditorium in Patanjali Yogpeeth-II, Haridwar. The event brought together saints, scholars, and members of the Patanjali family to celebrate a milestone that coincided with Ram Navami and the culmination of Navratri.Addressing the gathering, Swami Ramdev highlighted the spiritual and cultural significance of the day, stating, “Today we are celebrating three sacred occasions together—Ram Navami, the completion of Navratri, and Patanjali’s Sanyas Diwas. This is a moment of deep spiritual alignment and national pride.”

Reflecting on Patanjali’s journey over the past 32 years, he emphasised the organisation’s wide-ranging contributions across sectors. “Through Patanjali Yogpeeth, we have made historic contributions in education, healthcare, research, agriculture, industry, employment, environmental protection, character building, and nation-building,” he said.
He further noted the scale of its outreach, adding that Patanjali’s initiatives now extend across more than 600 districts, 5,000 tehsils, over 35 lakh villages, and nearly 200 countries globally.Swami Ramdev also underscored the importance of values-based education rooted in Indian culture. “Formal education alone cannot shape a better future. At Patanjali, we are building a system based on संस्कार (values), human ethics, and Sanatan principles to nurture leadership that can guide the world,” he remarked.

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Balkrishna extended his wishes and reflected on the relevance of Lord Ram’s ideals in today’s world. “The dignity, inclusiveness, and moral strength of Lord Ram are deeply needed in today’s global society. Swami Ramdev Ji is a living embodiment of these values, tirelessly working to restore and uphold them,” he said.He added, “We consider ourselves fortunate that we have been given the opportunity to contribute as associates in this larger mission led by Swami Ji. His life and struggle are truly inspirational.”Also present at the event, N. P. Singh, Executive Chairman of the Indian Education Board, drew a powerful parallel between spiritual ideals and contemporary leadership. “If Lord Ram represents the embodiment of dharma, then Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj represents its living form in the 21st century,” he said. He further noted that Lord Ram’s ideals transcend time, serving as a guiding force not just for India but for the entire world.

The event witnessed participation from sanyasis of Patanjali Sanyas Ashram, institutional heads, officials, educators, and students associated with Patanjali’s various initiatives, reinforcing the organisation’s continued commitment to cultural revival and global outreach.
