On his journey

First, I want to say something to my supporters: please don’t feel sad. I believe they are actually very happy. Also, I don’t like calling them “fans.” For me, they are like my brothers and family. If they truly support me, they will be happy with the way I played. I gave my best on the show, no one could stand against me, and anyone who tried to go against me couldn’t last long. So I feel they must be proud and happy. And even if some of you aren’t, learn to stay positive and be happy. (Photo: Instagram)

I started my journey as an athlete and faced injuries from time to time

I can’t say I've been this fierce or fearless from the beginning, but after college, I started my journey as an athlete and faced injuries from time to time. Life has many ups and downs—physical, mental, and financial. But I feel that real problems are mostly related to family. When something happens to your family, you get affected. Other issues, like injuries, heal with time if you take care of them. So I was never too worried about those things. My main focus was making sure the injury doesn't get serious. (Photo: Instagram)

Rajat Dalal on suffering several injuries

I’ve gone through a lot of injuries. My ligament was torn, my meniscus was damaged, my leg got twisted, and I had issues with my SI joints and discs. My hand was broken too. Even after all this, just nine days after getting a plaster, I won a bronze medal at the world level. I lifted around 300–310 kg despite the injury, and all of this is on record. But even today, my hand is not completely straight and I’ve had multiple tears. (Photo: Instagram)

The production team told me that I might have to leave for surgery

For me, all this has become normal. In the show, the production team told me that I might have to leave for surgery, but I told them I would like to continue as long as I could manage. I took full responsibility for my condition and pushed myself. My tendon was torn and had shifted from its place, which affected my movement. I had to get it fixed, but because of that, I faced problems while gripping and applying pressure. After coming out of the show, I got the surgery done. (Photo: Instagram)

Regarding his relationship with Prince— I don’t feel like calling him brother anymore

I didn’t speak to him. I do have his number, but I don’t think it makes sense. With so much experience, at this age, and while handling a family, behaving like an 8th or 9th standard kid doesn’t suit his position. He has achieved so much in life. If people call him the king of reality shows, that title comes with a win. Leaving that aside, at least maintain that image. I used to call him brother before the show, but now I don’t feel like calling him that anymore. He kept taking digs at me even when I hadn’t harmed him. (Photo: Instagram)

I never did anything behind his back, even when I had a chance, I confronted him directly in the game. That’s it. Even when he nominated my people after saying he wouldn't, I spoke to him nicely but he always taunted me. I was clear that if I got the chance, I would oppose him. He had the entire show on his side, more people, and greater experience. Still, he couldn’t take away my people, and I turned the game around on him. In the future, if I go to another show and someone better than me defeats me, I’ll appreciate them. And even if I don’t, I’ll still maintain respect so the bond stays good. (Photo: Instagram)

On link-up with Chahat - Our chemistry is good, that’s one aspect, but there’s nothing between us

It shouldn’t be seen only from Chahat’s perspective. With time, I’ve realised that when you work in this industry, you can’t look at things from a gender point of view—you have to be open and ready for everything. During Bigg Boss, I didn’t hug anyone, but in this show, I’ve been more comfortable and have hugged many people. It’s been a year since Bigg Boss ended, and with time, you need to grow and become a better person. You have to understand what’s right for you and what helps you move forward in life. Chahat should be happy in her life, she has her own journey. Our chemistry is good, that’s one aspect, but there’s nothing between us. And I’ve never called her my sister. (Photo: Instagram)
