Hot lemon water

How to make: Boil 2 cups of water and add 2 tbsp lemon juice. Allow to boil for 10-15 mins, serve and drink.

Benefits: Warm water with lemon can stimulate digestive juices and may help relieve bloating or constipation—making you feel lighter. While the body detoxes itself via the liver and kidneys, lemon water can help by encouraging more frequent urination and flushing out toxins. Also, replacing sugary beverages with lemon water drastically cuts calorie intake, helping with weight control.

Ginger tea

How to make: Add 3 tablespoons of grated ginger to 1 cup of hot water. Allow to soak for 10 minutes and drink warm.

Benefits: Ginger has thermogenic properties, which means it slightly raises your body temperature and may help boost calorie burn. Chronic inflammation is linked to weight gain and difficulty losing fat. Ginger’s anti-inflammatory effects can support a healthier body overall. Also, drinking ginger tea before meals may help you feel fuller and reduce overall calorie intake.

Chamomile tea

How to make: Add 1 tea bag of chamomile tea to 1 cup of hot water. Allow to soak for 5 mins and drink warm.

Benefits: Poor sleep is a major reason for weight gain and cravings. Chamomile helps you sleep deeper and longer, which balances hormones like cortisol and ghrelin (your hunger hormones). Chamomile is a natural relaxant. It also helps flush out water retention, which can help you feel lighter and less puffy. Chronic stress leads to high cortisol levels, which promote fat storage—especially belly fat. Chamomile’s calming effects help reduce stress, which may lower cortisol and support weight regulation.
