Rajasthan Cong MLAs will camp together till assembly session, says chief whip
Congress MLAs huddled in a hotel here for the last fortnight will continue to camp together till the Rajasthan Assembly meets on August 14, a party leader said Thursday. This was discussed at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held at the Fairmont hotel on the outskirts of the city, where MLAs loyal to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are staying since the July 13.

Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra spoke to Akhilesh Kumar Singh about the political crisis in the state and his delayed consent to convening the state assembly. The Rajasthan Governor was disappointed at the way a campaign was launched to sully the image of the Raj Bhawan. He said the state government should have exercised caution and refrained from making statements, which were damaging for the reputation of the governor’s office.

Amid an ongoing political crisis in the Rajasthan, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) is set to meet under the chairmanship of chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday at Hotel Fairmont in Jaipur. Earlier yesterday, Governor Kalraj Mishra issued an order to convene the Assembly session from August 14. The order for convening the Assembly was issued after repeated requests by cheif minister Gehlot whose government is facing a crisis due to differences in the ruling Congress.

No Rajasthan MLAs staying on our premises: 2 Manesar hotels inform SOG
Two hotels in Haryana's Manesar have informed the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG), which is probing the alleged horse-trading case that no MLAs were staying on their premises. "Best Western Resort in Manesar, Gurugram was served a notice on 23rd July. The hotel administration informed that it is a COVID centre and no MLAs are staying there," SOG said in a press release. "Similarly, information was sought from the administration of Heritage Village Hotel in Manesar, Gurugram. They also informed that no MLAs are staying there," SOG said.

While Gehlot suggested all would be forgiven if Pilot and the other 18 dissident MLAs apologised to the Congress high command, the disgruntled former deputy CM took to Twitter to congratulate Govind Singh Dotasra on taking over as PCC chief after his ouster.
