Lok Sabha elections 2019: Violence, EVM glitches mar Phase 3 in eastern, NE states
A high voter turnout, including over 80 per cent in Assam, was recorded in the third and largest phase of Lok Sabha elections Tuesday covering 116 constituencies. Stay with TOI for live updates:

Gujarat: Modi, Shah eye clean sweep again, but assembly show buoys Cong
In 2014, Gujarat had overwhelmingly voted in favour of Modi, giving BJP all 26 Lok Sabha seats. This time, BJP, however, is facing a close contest in over half a dozen seats. There is a vote bank disgruntled over farm distress, water scarcity for irrigation and jobs even as Patel discontent fanned by the Patidar agitation stands doused after the Centre’s 10% EWS quota.
