San Diego Mosque Hero ‘Undoubtedly Saved Lives’: Police Chief

The deadly San Diego mosque shooting is now also being remembered for an extraordinary act of bravery after police revealed security guard Amin Abdullah may have saved countless worshippers during the attack. Authorities say two teenage shooters opened fire inside the Islamic Center of San Diego on 2026-05-18, killing three men before taking their own lives nearby. Among those killed was Abdullah, a longtime guard at the mosque. San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl called Abdullah’s actions “heroic” and said he likely prevented an even bigger massacre.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, the project is being positioned as one of the biggest cinematic events in Indian film history. Reports also suggest massive digital-rights negotiations are underway, turning Ramayana into a full-scale box-office and streaming phenomenon even before its first trailer arrives.
