Man dies after medical emergency at Mumbai concert; woman falls ill, stable now
A 28-year-old man was brought dead to Breach Candy Hospital after experiencing a medical emergency during a concert at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai Police said on Sunday.

An Accidental Death Report (ADR No. 17/2026) has been registered at Tardeo Police Station. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the man was transported by ambulance from the concert venue to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

In a separate incident during the same concert, a 31-year-old woman complained of ill health and was shifted to Jaslok Hospital. She received necessary medical care and is currently stable. As per her statement, she had consumed alcohol and energy drinks during the event, police said.

"No drug substance used was revealed," Mumbai Police said. Further investigation into the man's death is in progress. Authorities are examining CCTV cameras and other electronic devices from the venue.

Security officer shoots dead wife and son in Gurugram's Ashok Vihar Phase 3

A chief security officer shot dead his wife and son using his licensed pistol in Gurugram's Ashok Vihar Phase 3 on Sunday, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Asha (45) and Prashant (25). The police have launched an investigation and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, Gurugram Police said.

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday said he has sought a report on the recent hike in LPG prices, calling the increase in prices of commercial gas, diesel and other essentials "alarming."

"I have sought a report on this. Additionally, the price hike of commercial gas, diesel, and other essentials is alarming. I will speak on this tomorrow after obtaining the report," Shivakumar told reporters.

'Team Europe' delegation to visit Guwahati to boost EU ties with India's Northeast
A high-level "Team Europe" delegation of the European Union will be in Guwahati on June 8-9 to advance collaboration opportunities between Europe and India's northeastern states, in line with the priorities set out in the Comprehensive Strategic Agenda agreed at the EU-India Summit last January.

The visit will focus on value chains across sectors where Europe and Assam — and the region as a whole — share strong synergies, including renewable and green energy, sustainable urban infrastructure, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and electronics manufacturing, tea and agri-food processing, flavours and fragrances, and AYUSH.

The EU delegation will comprise ambassadors and senior representatives from EU member states, including Hervé Delphin, Ambassador of the European Union to India and Bhutan, alongside European business representatives.

Four injured in fire at residential building in Navi Mumbai's Ghansoli area
Four persons were injured after a fire broke out at a residential building in Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai township on Saturday evening, officials said.

The blaze occurred at Kuber Apartment located in Sector 21 of the Ghansoli area. The disaster management cell received information about the fire at 8:51 pm, following which multiple fire tenders from Airoli, Koparkhairane, Vashi and other areas were rushed to the spot.

Ten persons were rescued from the premises. A minor and three others suffered burn injuries and breathing difficulties. Three of the injured were admitted to Basil Hospital in Koparkhairane for treatment.

The fire was later doused. The cause of the blaze is under investigation, officials said.

CBI raids 6 premises in Haryana, Chandigarh over alleged misappropriation of government funds
The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted searches on six premises in connection with an ongoing probe into a large-scale misappropriation fraud involving IDFC First Bank and AU Finance Bank, pertaining to siphoning of government funds in eight departments of the Haryana government and two departments of the Union Territory of Chandigarh — the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and CREST Chandigarh.

The search operations were carried out at locations in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Delhi NCR, including the residential premises of senior public servants of the Haryana cadre, as well as M/s Vipam Consultancy Pvt Ltd and its director.

During the investigation, evidence has surfaced suggesting that public servants colluded with bank officials and facilitated the opening of accounts, the transfer of funds, and the subsequent diversion of money.

Janasena worker arrested in Telangana over social media post against CM
