India Accuses Pak Of Spreading Disinformation To Cover Up Human Rights Abuses In POK

The Ministry of External Affairs has accused Pakistan of spreading fake news and misleading videos regarding ongoing protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). Responding to questions on the issue, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Pakistan was attempting to divert attention from its own failures and alleged human rights violations in the region. Jaiswal referred to reports of severe police brutality in POK, claiming that several people had been killed and many others injured during the unrest. He said the circulation of misinformation was part of a broader effort to conceal developments on the ground.The MEA spokesperson also called on the international community to take note of the situation and hold Pakistan accountable for alleged abuses and misconduct in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The remarks come amid continued protests and reports of clashes in parts of POK, drawing attention to the region's political and human rights situation.
