AIADMK secured a decisive victory with 1,09,867 votes, winning by a margin of 27,803 votes. He defeated TVK candidate Vendarkarasan S, who polled 82,064 votes.
DMK candidate S A Sathya finished third with 73,773 votes.
The Hosur constituency witnessed a high-stakes industrial-belt battle in the 2026 Assembly elections, with the DMK fielding S A Sathya, a former MLA who sought to reclaim his seat. He faced a formidable challenge from AIADMK’s P. Balakrishna Reddy, a veteran former minister with a significant local following. The entry of Vendarkarasan S, representing the TVK, added a fresh dynamic, appealing to the city's vast youth population and industrial labour force, while Maheshkumar K. of the NTK focused on regional environmental issues.
The 2021 election saw Y. Prakaash (DMK) secure victory with 118,231 votes (47.65% vote share), defeating S. Jyothi (AIADMK) by 12,367 votes. In 2016, P. Balakrishna Reddy (AIADMK) won with 89,510 votes, defeating the INC’s K. Gopinath by 22,964 votes.
Voter turnout this year reached a historic 80.34%, a massive surge from the 70.54% recorded in 2021.
Hosur (Assembly Constituency No. 55), known as the "Little England of India," is a premier industrial hub home to global giants like Titan and TVS.
