Farmers protesting at the Ghazipur border have refused to move, despite appeals from the UP administration. On Friday afternoon, clashes broke out between protesters and a group of locals at Singhu border, forcing police to use tear gas to control the situation. Stay with TOI for latest updates:
"A fellow protester asked him (Jugraj) to climb the flagpole after others could not do so. Jugraj then agreed to climb up the flagpole to hoist the flag," Mehal said about his grandson. "He is innocent."
