Coronavirus live updates: More than 27 lakh vaccinated on day 1 of Tika Utsav
Over 1.52 lakh new cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said on Sunday. Five states - Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala cumulatively account for 70.82 per cent of India's active Covid-19 cases. Stay here for all live updates

Tamil Nadu: Sea beaches in Chennai, Chengalpattu and Thiruvallur districts to remain closed for the public on all Saturdays, Sundays and on government holidays from April 11 until further orders, reports ANI
In these three districts, religious places to remain open for devotees till 10 pm.

Nana Patole, state Congress chief who attended the meeting with Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said that, if a lockdown is required to done, some relief has to be extended to the daily wage workers, small and medium traders who will be affected in a major way
He also said that the Congress will support the state in whatever decision it take as the situation is very grim in the state.
