India reported 46,148 new Covid-19 cases and 979 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the union health and family welfare ministry on Monday. This is for the first time in over two and half months that the death toll has come below the 1,000-mark and the 11th consecutive day in the last two months when the toll has been below the 2,000-mark. Global Covid-19 caseload tops 180.7 million
The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 180.7 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.91 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University. In its latest update on Sunday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 180,720,199 and 3,915,760, respectively.
