Delta Plus variant: Centre asks K'taka to take up immediate containment measures

The Centre has urged Karnataka to take up immediate containment measures, including preventing crowds, conducting widespread testing as well as increasing vaccine coverage on a priority basis in districts where the Delta Plus variant of Covid-19 has been detected. Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to Karnataka chief secretary P Ravi Kumar in this regard.

Corona will win if stakeholders fight with each other: Kejriwal after oxygen controversy

The virus will win if there is a fight among stakeholders, Kejriwal tweeted, a day after his Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP hit out at each other over the report that said Delhi's oxygen needs were “exaggerated” four times over during the second Covid wave. "May we work now if your fight over oxygen is finished? Let us together make a system so no one faces shortage of oxygen in third wave,” Kejriwal said in his tweet in Hindi.

A case of Delta plus variant found in Ludhiana. The 62-year-old patient, a resident of Jand village in Pakhowal block has no travel history. He is in better condition. So far, no other villager found Delta plus positive.
