Covid-19 caseload of Andamans rises to 830; death toll mounts to 10
The COVID-19 caseload of Andaman and Nicobar Islands rose to 830 on Tuesday with the detection of 96 fresh infections, while one more fatality pushed its coronavirus death toll to 10, health officials said. Seven of the new patients have travel history while 89 infections were detected during contract tracing, they said.

Britain faces a second wave of Covid-19 this winter twice as widespread as the initial outbreak if it reopens schools without a more effective test-and-trace system in place, according to a study published on Tuesday. Researchers concluded a second wave could be prevented if 75% of those with symptoms were found and tested and 68% of their contacts were traced, or if 87% of people with symptoms were found and 40% of their contacts tested.
Gwalior: Infants shifted from hospital after staff contracts Covid-19
At least 26 infants from the sick newborn care unit of state-run Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) in Gwalior were shifted to private nursing homes after some staff from paediatrics department tested COVID-19 positive, an official said on Tuesday. The sick newborn care unit (SNCU) at GRMC's Kamla Raja Hospital was shut after four junior doctors and a nurse from paediatrics department tested positive for coronavirus, Gwalior's chief medical and health officer (CMHO) V K Gupta said.

Ban unregistered online health service aggregators from collecting samples: PIL in Delhi HC
A PIL was moved in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday seeking directions to the Central government, ICMR and Delhi government to immediately ban unregistered online health service aggregators from collecting diagnostic samples, including those for COVID-19 tests. The PIL, slated to come up for hearing before the High Court tomorrow, claimed that these online health service aggregators are misrepresenting themselves as medical diagnostic laboratories thereby posing a threat to the life and safety of the common people.
