Karnataka Power Tussle Returns As Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar Reach Delhi For Key Talks

Karnataka politics is witnessing renewed speculation over a possible leadership change as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar both arrived in Delhi for crucial meetings with the Congress high command. Siddaramaiah said he has been summoned to the national capital but is unaware of the agenda, while DK Shivakumar also travelled to Delhi amid rising political buzz.The long-standing leadership tussle between the two leaders has resurfaced, with reports suggesting that the Congress leadership may attempt to resolve internal differences, including discussions on cabinet reshuffle, organisational roles, and possible leadership transition. Sources indicate that a final decision on Karnataka’s leadership structure could be taken within the next two to three days after consultations involving top Congress leadership. While Siddaramaiah maintains that he will abide by the party’s decision, Shivakumar’s remarks and parallel visit to Delhi have intensified speculation over a potential shift in Karnataka’s political equation.
