Pakistan reports 330 new Covid-19 cases; nationwide tally reaches 280,027
Eight people died during the period, taking the total number of Covid-19 fatalities in the country to 5,984, the Ministry of National Health Services said. The number of new cases is the lowest since April 14 when 280 infections were detected, it said.

India's Covid-19 testing crosses 2 crore mark: ICMR
A total of 2,02,02,858 samples for Covid-19 were tested across the country as of Sunday, said the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Monday. "The total number of Covid-19 samples tested up to August 02 is 2,02,02,858 including 3,81,027 samples tested yesterday," said the ICMR in a bulletin shared on Twitter.

The number of Covid-19 tests carried out in India has also crossed the 2 crore-mark, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). There are 5,79,357 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country at present while the recoveries have increased to 11,86,203.

BMC issues official statement regarding police officer from Bihar being quarantined
BMC says the officer arrived in SRPF group 8 Guesthouse, Goregaon (East). Being a domestic air traveller, he needs to be guided for home quarantine as per the state government Guidelines. Accordingly P/South ward team approached him at the said guesthouse yesterday evening (2nd August 2020). Team explained him whole procedure for domestic air traveller, including home quarantine, which is fixed by the State Government Notification dated 25th May, 2020 under number DMU/2020/CR. 92/DisM-1. He has also been guided to apply to the competent authority of MCGM for exemption in the home quarantine period as per the state government notification.
