With an increase of 10,667 cases and 380 deaths in the past 24 hours, the Covid-19 count in India has reached 3,43,091 on Tuesday. The spike in cases is lower than the 11,502 registered in the country on Monday and has also stayed below the 11 thousand mark it had been crossing for the past two days in a row. The CBI has alerted the police in all the states and Union territories and other law-enforcement agencies about an Interpol input warning about racketeers selling fake hand sanitiser, manufactured using the highly-toxic methanol, and another gang posing as PPE and other Covid-19-related medical suppliers, officials said on Monday.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will now handle 50 schedule domestic arrivals and as many domestic departures — up from 25 schedule arrivals and as many departures allowed from May 25 to June 14. Sources say this number will be scaled up to 100 schedule domestic arrivals and as many departures before the end of this month. “The state government has allowed Mumbai Airport to handle 50 domestic arrivals and 50 departures from Monday.
