"Within 11 years, PM Modi took several steps towards finishing terrorism. Earlier, Congress was in power and there used to be terrorist attacks every other day. But strict action was never taken. PM Modi secured this nation. He made this nation prosperous. Rahul Gandhi insults Chhath Maiyya. Should this be done? Rahul Gandhi, you can insult PM Modi as much as you want, we have no objection. Bihar elections: PM Modi takes a dig at RJD, Congress

PM Narendra Modi said, "Congress people are telling the people of Bihar that when their government will be formed in Delhi, a university like Nalanda will be built in Bihar. When the Congress and RJD governments were in power at the centre for 10 years, they still said they would build a university in Nalanda. They gave only 20 crore rupees for the university and then forgot about it. 20 crore rupees can't build a school in a village. When you gave me the opportunity to serve you in 2014, when our government came to power, we launched a campaign to restore the glory of Nalanda. With all our heart and hard work, we allocated over 2,000 crore rupees to the university in 10 years. Today, we have built a magnificent campus for Nalanda University. Today, I proudly say that students from more than 21 countries are studying at Nalanda University."

'NDA ki pehchan Vikas se hai aur RJD and Congress ki pehchan Vinash hain.'.."

Recalling his own first voting experience, PM Modi shared a personal anecdote to inspire the youth, "On the morning of November 6th, Saharsa and Madhepura will vote. In this election, there are many young sons and daughters who will vote for the first time. When I cast my vote for the first time, I had a wish that my vote should not be wasted. I will see the wave, and my vote should form the government. This is what I thought when I cast my vote for the first time. And I am happy that I was successful. Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Monday took a swipe at RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav over his confident prediction of forming the government in Bihar, saying that there is no harm in seeing "Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne."

Red-letter moment as Bihar's Chormara declared Naxal-free, villagers to vote locally after two decades

In a major step towards eliminating Naxalism, for the first time in over 25 years, residents of Chormara village in Bihar's Jamui district can now vote peacefully in their village after it was declared free of Naxal influence.

Voters in Chormara will now cast their votes at Polling Station Number 220, set up at Chormara Primary School.

Earlier, due to security concerns, electors had to travel about 22 kilometres to Koywa School under Barhat block to exercise their franchise. The new polling station within the village has sparked excitement among residents, who say the change has reduced travel time by over 20 kilometres.

Locals expressed hope that the end of Naxal dominance would bring long-awaited development to the area, including electricity, better roads and improved connectivity.

Resident Sitaram Kora expressed happiness at being able to vote again after 25 years. "The area was completely under the control of Naxalites. The situation was really bad before. People used to be forcibly taken; they used to come at night. Even children were taken away to join the organisation. Now people are coming back too; elections also will happen after 30 years. 'Who's responsible?' Congress' Sachin Pilot on Mokama violence

Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Sunday criticised the Bihar government over the increasing incidents of crime and violence in the state.

Reacting to the arrest of JDU's Mokama candidate Anant Singh in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case, Pilot questioned the government's ability to maintain law and order.

Pilot emphasised that those in power are accountable for the ongoing political violence and murders in Bihar. He demanded to know who would take responsibility for the crimes and the unchecked freedom given to antisocial elements.

He acknowledged that the Election Commission has taken some measures under the Model Code of Conduct, but questioned the effectiveness of these measures in preventing violence and crime.

Pilot asserted that the state government is responsible for maintaining law and order and must face accountability for its failure to do so. He cited recent incidents of violence and crime, including murders, kidnappings, and looting, and asked who would take responsibility for these crimes.

"...Those in power are accountable for the ongoing political violence and murders in Bihar. Although a code of conduct is in place, Election Commission officials have taken some measures. The question remains: who is responsible for the violence, the unchecked freedom given to antisocial elements, and the ongoing looting, kidnappings, and murders?... Who will take responsibility for the murders that occurred right under their noses in Delhi and Patna? The state government is responsible and must face accountability...," said Pilot. (ANI)

PM Modi not only scared of Trump, but also remote-controlled by big business, alleges Rahul

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not only "scared" of US President Donald Trump, but was also "remote controlled" by big business. Speaking at an election rally in Begusarai, Bihar, Gandhi said, "Having a huge chest does not make you strong. Just look at Mahatma Gandhi, who had a frail build but took on the British, who were the superpowers of the time."

"On the other hand, we have Narendra Modi with his boast of a 56-inch chest, who got a panic attack when Trump called him during Operation Sindoor, and the military conflict with Pakistan ended in two days. He is not just scared of Trump, but is also being remote-controlled by Ambani and Adani," he added.

Gandhi accused Modi of prioritising big business through GST and demonetisation and said, "Our approach is different. We want to promote small businesses. We want to replace made in China labels… with made in Bihar tags."

He also claimed the PM diverts youth with reels while ignoring unemployment and alleged electoral manipulation in Bihar.

'If Lalu Yadav's son becomes CM... ': Amit Shah says Bihar will get ministries of extortion, kidnapping, abduction

Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a fierce attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal, claiming that if Lalu Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav becomes Chief Minister, it would lead to the creation of “three new ministries – of kidnapping, extortion, and promoting abduction and bloodshed” in Bihar.

Speaking at a rally in Muzaffarpur, Shah recalled the 1994 murder of Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah by a mob, highlighting the "jungleraj" under Lalu Prasad Yadav's rule.

"During Lalu-Rabri's administration, here in Gopalganj, the DM Krishnaiah was beaten to death; if Lalu's son becomes CM again, then three ministries will be created in Bihar: one to run the kidnapping industry, a second to collect extortion, and a third to promote abduction and bloodshed," he said.

Shah urged voters to elect NDA candidates to prevent a return of "jungleraj," warning that it has resurfaced with a “changed” face.

"The collapse Bihar suffered during Lalu-Rabri's 15 years in power — that same 'Jungle Raj' is returning today, only dressed differently, with a changed face," he said, praising the governance of Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi for development, including Muzaffarpur’s global recognition for litchis.

Shah also criticised Sonia Gandhi and Lalu, asserting, "Neither Tejashwi can become CM, nor Rahul PM because the seats are not vacant. In Bihar, there is Nitish Babu, and in Delhi, there is Modi Ji!"

He highlighted government initiatives, including PM Kisan Nidhi, youth employment, and infrastructure projects, promising a ministry for flood prevention and connectivity projects like the Vande Bharat Express.

Bihar's 243-seat Assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November, with results on 14 November.
