How should lawbreakers like Cong MLA Vijayanand Kashappannavar who abused two on duty constables be penalized?

Another case of a lawmaker turning into a lawbreaker. When Cong MLA Vijayanand Kashappannavar abused two constables doing their duty, he was obviously misusing his power. The brazen act was a clear violation of the law, and coming from a people’s representative it was all the more shocking.

Maybe he can be asked to sweep and clean the barracks of constables for few days ?

MLAs who break the law should be given exemplary punishment. He should sweep the roads in his constituency everyday for one year. Sweep the roads, collect the katchra, dump it in the bins and take them to collection centers. After completion of his work, he should sign muster that he has completed the work for the day. Punitive work to MLAs who break the law should compulsorily involve work for public good at the grass roots level designed to break their ego and "nafrat" for menial work.

If a representative does so, He Should be be charged and case dealt in speedy trial. After that, He should issue a public apology, pay compensation and then should replace the person for one week in his job. The report card of performance of MLA should then be issued in Newspaper displaying his incompetency. This will cool down the heels of All MLA who does not respect Men in uniform.

Not only this particular MLA most political activists behave very rudely and they feel they are a law unto themselves. I propose any retrograde act of any political activist be captured in todays very handy mobile phone cameras by NGOs or discerning public and be handed over to dedicated non political voluntary bodies to enlarge in size and make a video show of it in a prominent place of the locality so that all come to know what that particular person has done and thus his political affiliation gets dented and MLA etc loose vote. The central and state govt should make it mandatory for corporation etc to allow site for it and protection thereof.

People in power should have greater responsibility to conform to law . In our country they think that they are above the law . An MP and MLA who is caught violating the law or misbehaving should be summarily removed from the Parliament / Assembly . Legal action should follow after that.

in my opinion straightway put the MLA behind the bars and take action as is being taken in case of common man, mla is not above the law, disqualify him and have fresh election to replace him, if he is a peoples rep, he has not got the licence to break a rule and he is a law maker and now has become law breaker, kindly take strict action against him and give an example to aam aadmi, if there is any rule of law exists in this country, is law only meant for poor people of this country, i think -yes, law is for poor, that is why no action against this fellow.pl put him in jail.

The MLA should be slapped in public with Nation wide live media coverage by the same on duty police he slapped and one police man from each of the police stations across the State!

Law already exists for taking action against persons who restrict the government servants from discharging their duty.Imagine if reverse happens, police misbehaves with the MLA.
