Janhvi Kapoor will be seen playing the female opposite
Ram Charan in the upcoming sports action drama, ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The makers unveiled the trailer of the film during a grand event in Mumbai. During the event, Janhvi Kapoor praised Ram Charan and spoke about the emotional connection she feels with Telugu audiences.
Working experience with Ram Charan
The ‘Dhadak’ actress went on to call it “one of her biggest honours” to work with the ‘RRR’ star. She said, “And it is genuinely one of the biggest honours of my life to have worked with Ram sir. And to see what he's given this film. And I think because of all of the love that everyone's obviously given Mom and Chiranjeevi sir throughout the years.”
“I understand that there's a very different type of connection between people and us. And it means a lot to us, but it felt very cosmic to come together for a very special film with him.”
Calling Ram Charan “the best person,” she added, “He really is the best person. So, I hope that you all enjoy everything he's given to the film. Because we've all given a piece of our hearts to the film.”
Janhvi Kapoor on her connection with Telugu audience
Talking about the love she receives from Telugu audiences, Janhvi mentioned, “A lot of people have come from Hyderabad, from Vizag.
Especially, they wanted to talk. That Telugu connection, you know, is an emotion that is going on. They love you down south and especially the Telugu connection is very emotional. I live in Bombay, but my home is there.”
In ‘Peddi’, Janhvi Kapoor plays the role of Achiyyamma. She is seen in a strong, fun and cheerful personality.

Speaking of ‘Peddi’, the film is a sports action drama, set in Andhra Pradesh and tells the story of a villager who fights for his people with sports. He can be seen dwelling in three different sports, including cricket, wrestling and running. It also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in key roles.
