‘Dhurandhar’: Tamil stars Suriya and Jyothika are ‘blown away’ by the Ranveer Singh starrer, calling it a ‘masterpiece’; Aditya Dhar responds saying 'grateful beyond words'

Aditya Dhar directorial ‘Dhurandhar’ starring Ranveer Singh has now almost completed a month-long run and the film has been roaring at the box office. It is being commended by multiple stars and fellow actors and recently Tamil Star Suriya and his wife, actress Jyothika, heaped praise to the director for giving a “masterpiece”.

What did Suriya write for ‘Dhurandhar’

Suriya took to his X (formerly Twitter) timeline to share a message to the director of the film from him and his wife. In the post, he mentioned that they were blown away by their film and shared their appreciation for the entire team. He wrote, “Thank you @AdityaDharFilms for giving this masterpiece. #Dhurandhar what a movie! Completely blown by your craft... love & respect to you and the whole team.”

He further added a special praise for R. Madhavan for his transformation as Ajay Sanyal in the film and congratulated Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh for the success of the film. “Special congrats to my bro @ActorMadhavan - what a transformation! #AkshayeKhanna & @RanveerOfficial congrats on a very deserving blockbuster! Love Suriya & Jo,” he wrote.

Replying to his tweet, Aditya Dhar expressed his gratitude upon hearing such words from the ‘Ghajini’ actor. He wrote, “Grateful beyond words, Suriya sir. Your love and encouragement mean everything to us. Deeply honoured and inspired. Much love and respect to you and Maam.”

About ‘Dhurandhar’ box office dominance

‘Dhurandhar’ has become India’s biggest film released in 2025. It became a massive blockbuster, crossing the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide. According to the latest reports, it is currently running strong in theatres and has made approximately Rs 11.75 crore on 30th day, which brings the total collection in India to Rs 759.50 crore.On the work front, Suriya was last seen in Tamil romance action drama, ‘Retro’, co-starring Pooja Hegde and directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
