Vineeth Sreenivasan reveals he had to drop Thalapathy Vijay's 'GOAT' due to 'Varshangalkku Shesham'
Vineeth Sreenivasan is currently busy promoting his next directorial venture 'Varshangalkku Shesham,' starring Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Nivin Pauly, Basil Joseph, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in main roles. The story is about two Malayalis reaching Tamil Nadu’s capital, Madras (current Chennai), with a dream of making films. While promoting the film in Chennai, Vineeth shared his disappointment as he missed a role in Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film ‘GOAT-The Greatest of All Time’ due to 'Varshangalkku Shesham.'In an interview with Cine Ulagam, Vineeth revealed that director Venkat Prabhu approached him for a movie, which was his collaboration with Thalapathy. The film was supposed to go on floors in October, but Vineeth was busy making ‘Varshangalkku Shesham,’ so he had to decline the offer. Vineeth added that if he were acting in a movie, he could have managed dates, but as the director of the film, it would affect the schedules of other actors in the movie. Thus, Venkat understood the situation and promised to collaborate in the future.

Vineeth Sreenivasan mentioned that Venkat Prabhu is one of the reasons behind him becoming a director, and his film ‘Saroja’ is a major inspiration for him. Vineeth watched this film in Chennai and told his friends why Malayalam filmmakers are not making such films with newcomers. He made his directorial debut with ‘Malarvadi Arts Club,’ which was a true hit. Venkat gave that spark to Vineeth. 'Varshangalkku Shesham' will be released on April 11.
