Mammootty welcomes New Year on 'Patriot' sets; shares dapper PIC; gifts wheelchairs to the needy

Mammootty welcomed the New Year on the sets of his upcoming film 'Patriot'. The megastar celebrated the moment by cutting a cake and sharing New Year wishes with the full team. Director Mahesh Narayanan and producer Anto Joseph were also present during the celebration. Apart from that, the 'Patriot' actor also shared a dapper New Year picture which has impressed his fans and netizens alike.

Mammootty took to Instagram to mark the New Year. He shared a dapper picture of himself and kept the caption simple. He wrote, “Happy New Year.” That was enough to excite fans. The post was soon filled with comments. One person wrote, “Let's start 2026 with prosperity right....” Another comment read, “The item that gets stronger with age..!” One fan asked, “Will anyone say this man is 74 years old?” Another comment said, “Mammukka is the Malayali concept of male beauty.” Actress Prachi Tehlan wrote, “forever favourite.” Actress Kaniha commented, “Happy New Year Mammooka.” Actor Vishak Nair shared heart emojis. A New Year gift for the needy

The New Year was not just about celebration for Mammootty. As a meaningful gift, the Care and Share International Foundation, led by him, distributed wheelchairs to selected hospitals in Kottayam district.




As reported by Mathrubhumi, the event was inaugurated by Cardinal Mar George Jacob Koovakkatt. Cardinal George Jacob Koovakkatt, Dr Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan and Swami Vithasanghananda together lit the ceremonial lamp. The gesture once again showed Mammootty’s care for people beyond cinema.

'Patriot' moves closer to completion

'Patriot' is being helmed as one of the biggest budgeted films of Malayalam cinema. The story and screenplay are written by director Mahesh Narayanan himself. Shooting has already been completed in Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Delhi, Sharjah, Kochi, Ladakh, and the UK. The final schedule is now happening in Kochi. 'Patriot' is special as it brings Mammootty and Mohanlal together after 17 years. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathi, and Darshana Rajendran.
