The Malayalam comedy film ‘Innocent’, starring
Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikarin the lead roles, has now arrived on OTT. The movie , which released in theatres on November 7, 2025, did not make a strong impact at the box office and received mixed reviews from the audiences.
When and where to watch
According to OTT Play, ‘Innocent’ made its OTT debut on December 29 on Saina Play. The film is currently available for streaming only in its original Malayalam language. The early digital release comes shortly after its theatrical run, which remained largely underwhelming.
Despite limited success in cinemas, the movie had generated some pre-release curiosity, especially due to the involvement of Tanzanian social media influencer Kili Paul who known for his lip-syncs to Indian songs.
What the film is about
The story of Innocent follows Vinod, played by Althaf Salim, a disciplined and detail-oriented government clerk. An unexpected illness forces him into an awkward situation at a KSRTC bus stand, where he ends up using the ladies’ washroom. The incident quickly turns into a nightmare. Someone captures the moment on camera, and Vinod becomes the subject of public mockery and online ridicule.

Mithun Ramesh, Azees Nedumangad, and Kili Paul. The movie is directed by debutant Satheesh Thanvi and written by Shihab Karunagappally. Cinematography is handled by Nikhik S. Praveen, editing by Riyas K. Badhar and the movie music composed by Jay Stellar
Other than ‘Innocent’, ‘Ithiri Neram’ released on the OTT platform Sun Nxt on December 31, while ‘Eko’ also premiered on Netflix today, starring Sandeep Pradeep, Narain, Binu Pappu and Vineeth.
