RangiTaranga actress in an Iranian movie!

Avantika Shetty, who rose to fame with her role in the Kannada film RangiTaranga, is currently working on an Iranian film. “I play an Iranian living in India, who gets married to a man who was a priest. The film is directed by Ali and I am paired with Iranian actor Rushaan Hussain. Interestingly, all my dialogues are in Urdu, while he speaks to me in Persian,” says the actress. The film is currently being shot in Mumbai and Avantika tells us that working in a foreign language has its fair share of difficulties. “It’s tough to understand the cues, as in, when to respond, etc. So, rehearsals are vital. I love the challenge of learning languages. RangiTaranga also was a challenge. I didn’t know the language and my character was so talkative. I am glad I got this opportunity,” she says.
