The Bollywood star, who celebrated her baby girl Dua's first birthday over the weekend with hubby Ranveer Singh, did so with an intimate bash, complete with a homemade cake she baked especially for the occasion.While she did not share photos or endearing posts for the little one on her handle, on the occasion of her birthday on September 8, Deepika took to her Instagram on Wednesday to share a late post, giving fans a glimpse of the cute and intimate celebrations."My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday," Deepika captioned the photo that saw a large goey layered chocolate cake that stood as the centrepiece on a table decorated with pastel flower arrangements and candles. While she posted a photo of the cut cake, she shied away from sharing an image of the toddler.The post quickly won hearts from fans and friends who gushed about the sweet gesture, while also extending their wishes to baby Dua.Ever since the lockdown, Deepika has been taking to her handle to share her love for baking. The actress even revealed in an Instagram AMA session that she is more fond of baking than cooking. She also revealed that she loves to bake chocolate-chip cookies at home. Hubby Ranveer has also had no qualms sharing his love for his wife's pastries and other sweet treats that she whipped up for him.The actress has still not yet posted a photo of her baby girl on social media. Most recently, the star was left fuming when a person at the airport filmed her daughter while returning home from a family getaway. The actress has made it a point to keep her child's images out of public platforms and social media and has also shunned paparazzi photos with the little one.On the work front, Deepika is currently busy working on her next film with Atlee and Allu Arjun. The actress will feature as one of the female leads in the upcoming film 'AA22xA6', which will feature her in a warrior's role. While she has been busy preparing for the film, reports state that shooting is expected to begin in November 2025.
