ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao chased by fans? Video of the incident goes viral - here’s what happened

Recently, video footage of ZEROBASEONE member Zhang Hao being chased by a lot of fans in a restaurant in China has been making rounds online. The surveillance footage has caused a lot of debate and concerns about an idol’s safety against ‘saesang’ fans.

A video of the alleged ZEROBASEONE member Zhang Hao has gone viral online. Allegedly taken in China, the video shows the idol running through a restaurant as saesang fans chase after him. The idol was at the restaurant to have a meal, but was unable to finish due to the incident. The post originally went viral on a popular fan forum website.

Fans react to the video

AS soon as the video made its way to other social media platforms, fans and netizens alike called out the behaviour and expressed their concern over the idol’s safety. Many cited that the boy group had been a victim of a similar event before; however, security for the members had not been increased.

One commented, “i can’t grasp the idea of following a literal human around like this like they need mental help do they not realise this is literal harassment and stalking”, while another fan shared that, “Fck w1 but I think atp no one can control chinese sasaengs and it’s literally getting scarier every damn day”.

Last year in Belgium, during one of their events planned in the city, Zhang was stalked and harassed at the hotel where he and fellow members had been staying. Private information about the idol was leaked online, and saesangs had tried to reach the idol inside the hotel, sparking major outrage online. At the time, many fans had requested the group’s company to take strict action, as well as to increase security to maintain the idol’s privacy.
