When Baahubali actor Prabhas was brutally fat-shamed by netizens, 'Baahubali is now vada pav'

Some users posted jokes in Hindi. One person wrote, “Kisi ne 2 ghnte paani me bhigo dya bahubali ko” (Someone soaked Baahubali in water for two hours). Another asked, “Why does he look like an uncle?” Someone else compared him to vada pav and wrote, “Tu khud wada pav ban gaya hai Prabhas...” (You yourself have turned into vada pav, Prabhas). Another comment said, “OMG who’s this guy and what has he done to the very hot Prabhas??”

What led to the change

Many people ignored the work behind his appearance. Reports linked his look to a role change for Adipurush, where he played Lord Rama. Coverage also said he and Saif Ali Khan gained weight for their roles.

Some fans spoke up for him. One supporter posted on X and pushed back against the insults. The fan wrote, “I accept him whatever way he is,” and called out “trollers, body shamers.” The moment showed something else too. Hate spreads quickly, but so can support.

In 2024, he starred in the science fiction film 'Kalki 2898 AD.' In 2025, he made a cameo appearance in 'Kannappa.' The same year, the re-edited combined version of his Baahubali films released under the title 'Baahubali: The Epic.' His upcoming lineup stays busy. The RajaSaab releases on 9 January 2026. He follows with the 1940s war drama Fauzi around the Independence Day period in 2026. 'Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryaanga Parvam' targets 2027.
