'Salman Khan gave me an identity...': Vikram Phadnis expresses gratitude to the Sikandar star

After being away from fashion scene for years, Salman Khan made a stylish return to the runway, as he became showstopper for designer Vikram Phadnis. The designer celebrated 35 years in the industry with a grand event in Mumbai on October 14. Vikram took the opportunity to thank the superstar. He said, "I'd like to say Thank You to a man to gave me my identify in this industry. I didn't know what it means to sit in an aircraft. He gave me my first passport. He gave me an identity that no one else did. Elaborating further, he added, "I have said this in all my interviews, I owe everything I am today only to Salman Khan and his entire family. They have not only been kind but have taken me as the son of that house and like I said, the first time I went abroad was with Alvira and Salman and they showed me a different side of the world that I have not been able to see." One of the evening’s highlights happened backstage when Salman and Bipasha Basu shared a warm moment. The longtime friends were seen laughing, holding hands, and chatting, reminding fans of their bond from the early 2000s.The event drew a star-studded guest list, including Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Huma Qureshi, Divya Dutta, and Natasa Stankovic.
