Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar records double-digit collections for 28 straight days; eyes all-time Hindi box office crown

Nearly a month after its release, Dhurandhar continues to defy conventional box office trends. The Aditya Dhar–directed action spy thriller, led by Ranveer Singh, has delivered a sustained run rarely seen in Hindi cinema, pushing its India net collection to Rs 739.82 crore in just 28 days from its Hindi release.

The film has posted double-digit collections on all 28 days of its run so far—an achievement that places it in a category of its own. Even in its fourth week, the film has continued to attract sizeable footfalls, underlining its strong audience hold.

Despite receiving a mixed response from critics, Dhurandhar found strong acceptance among audiences, with its scale, performances and espionage-driven narrative driving repeat viewership. Trade analysts point to word-of-mouth as the key factor behind the film’s unusually long legs at the box office.

Dhurandhar crosses Rs 1,100 crore worldwide

The film’s impact has extended well beyond domestic markets. With strong overseas collections, Dhurandhar has crossed Rs 1,100 crore worldwide, cementing its position as the biggest global Hindi release of 2025. The sustained international interest has further strengthened its chances of setting long-term records.

A strategic two-part franchise

Released theatrically on December 5, the film marks the first chapter of a two-part franchise. The story follows a decade-long Indian intelligence mission involving an undercover operative embedded deep within Karachi’s criminal and political ecosystem. The second instalment is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.



As Dhurandhar moves into 2026, the film is now firmly positioned as a contender to become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.
