Ram Gopal Varma takes playful dig at Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ as it gears up for a theatrical clash with Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in March

Director Ram Gopal Varma is all praise for the Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar’. The filmmaker has shared quite a few posts on his social media handle commending the team and the key members. Recently, he made a playful comment about Kannada star Yash’s much-anticipated ‘Toxic’, the film that will clash with ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Let’s find out what he said.

RGV took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, “DHURANDHAR 2‘S BITE will be TOXIC." Many people took this as a fun and friendly dig at ‘Toxic’.




Earlier, he had teased South Indian films while praising ‘Dhurandhar’. He wrote, “THE FIREBALL of the SOUTHIES invasion into BOLLYWOOD has been KICKED back by @AdityaDharFilms left foot, named #dhurandhar and now his right foot is getting ready with #dhurandhar 2 … From what I saw of the 2nd part, if the 1st SCARED them, the 2nd will TERRIFY them.”

Both ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Toxic’ are said to be releasing on March 19, 2026.

‘Dhurandhar’ has been roaring at the box office and has made over Rs 723.25 crore in India as of Day 27, according to the report by Sacnilk. It is still going strong at the box office and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the sequel.

About ‘Toxic’

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is another big movie. It is a period gangster drama. It is written by Geetu Mohandas and Yash, and also directed by Mohandas. The film has many stars like Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair.

Interestingly, March 2026 is set to see multiple big projects being released on the big screens. Not only ‘Dhurnadhar 2’ and ‘Toxic’ March 2026 will also see Ram Charan starrer ‘Peddi’ getting released on March 27 and Natural Star Nani’s action thriller ‘The Paradise’ will hit the theatres on 26th.
